This morning Bill Banks and I birded the Point Folly/Town Beach area of White Memorial Foundation in Litchfield, looking for migrants. The results were modest, but among five species of warblers was a nice adult male Cape May Warbler. There also were four juvenile Least Sandpipers on Town Beach, a very small beach that has attracted shorebirds over the years.(It will be tough to top the Red Knot found years ago by Ray Belding on boulders/pilings visible from the beach/boat launch).
