Given Tina’s post, any 'golden plovers’ seen in the next few days should be scrutinized carefully and European Golden Plover actively ruled out. The most diagnostic feature is the gleaming white underwings in flight (don’t flush it to check please!!).
Checking areas such as Milford Point, Stratford Airport and Sandy Point are all decent habitat but if the bird has gone inland, any farm fields would be suitable habitat, but searching for it would be a needle in a haystack.
