Phil Rusch and I birded Bluff Point SP, Sparkle Lake Conservation Area, and the Eastern Point area - all in Groton this morning.
Bluff Point - EVENING GROSBEAK (flyover, calling), 21 PURPLE FINCH, 2 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, AMERICAN WOODCOCK, BLUE-HEADED VIREO.  Not a bad morning flight considering the lack of dawn wind.  Yellow-rumps were the only identified warbler (14) but there were some non-Yellow-rumps flying over.  Robins, juncos, and Blue Jays were on the move in small numbers.
Sparkle Lake - 6 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT
