[CT Birds] Stratford highlights 11/9

I was surprised to see that Z & B (1990) shows September fall arrivals for Purple Sandpiper. I've got to get out birding, more.

11/9. Stratford, Long Beach (with Mike Aurelia) - PURPLE SANDPIPER (on 2nd jetty from entrance. Two were here 11/4), adult BALD EAGLE (atop tree at McKinney NWR), 33+ SNOW BUNTINGS (on dunes west of lot).
Stratford Point - 3 female BLACK SCOTERS ( just off east bluff), 13 LAUGHING GULLS, FOX SPARROW.
NOTE: gate was closed due to heavy machinery work.
