Thanks to Steve Broker, we were able to find the Ash-throated Flycatcher today despite the wind. (No Cave Swallows despite those conditions!) The flycatcher was seen mid morning by Steve way out the moraine trail west of the Meigs Point parking area in the area with the piled driftwood. But by midday, the bird was foraging in the lee of the first copse of trees immediately east of the parking area on the beach side. It was capturing some invertebrates but also snapping at sumac fruits in the area. A local mockingbird chased the flycatcher frequently here.
