For the last 2 days a Gray GYRFALCON has been seen from State Line Lookout
in Alpine NJ, right over the NY border and only about 30 miles from the
western edge of CT. According to observers the bird was seen between 3:30-4
PM both Saturday and Sunday flying below the cliffs of the lookout and
perched along the river's edge.

Greg Gard posted some great pictures on his blog from yesterday:

State Line Lookout is right off the Palisades Interstate Parkway just south
of the Tappan Zee Bridge. The lookout the bird has been seen from is right
next to the parking areas overlooking the palisades.

Hopefully this bird will stick around after the Noreaster.
