Barnes boat launch-Enfield, CT 7:25am-8:50am. What a morning! Glazed ice, very slippery and a wee bit nippy. Continuing BARNACLE GEESE, PINK-FOOTED GOOSE, GREATER-WHITE FRONTED GOOSE, CACKLING GOOSE, BARROWS GOLDENEYE, WOODDUCKS, COMMON GOLDENEYES, COMMON MERGANSERS, BUFFLEHEADS, HAIRY WOODPECKER, RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER, CAROLINA WREN, AMERICAN BLACK DUCK, MALLARDS, the usual gulls and a
thousand plus of CANADA GEESE. BARNACLES and company departed in continual multiple skeins at 8:15am heading west presumably to feed. Birding with a Massachusetts birder and a Vermont birder who originally found the PINK-FOOTED GOOSE. "The calm before the storm"
