[CT Birds] Hammonasset Sat. morning

Hammonasset State Park, Madison - Menunkatuck Audubon's bird walk led by
Mike DiGiorgio Saturday morning found:
Brant (dozens close to shore), Canada Goose, Black Duck, Mallard,
Green-winged Teal (4 in Meigs marsh), Surf Scoter, Common Goldeneye,
Red-breasted Merganser, Red-throated Loon, Common Loon, Double-crested
Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Osprey (on Meigs marsh nest platform), Northern
Harrier, Merlin, Killdeer,
American Oystercatcher (4 flying close to shore), Herring Gull, Mourning
Dove, Northern Flicker, Eastern Phoebe (many along Willards trails),
American Crow, Fish Crow, Horned Lark (Meigs parking lot), Tree Swallow
(single in flight), Black-capped Chickadee, Carolina Wren, Golden-crowned
Kinglet (several at back end of Willards), Am. Robin, N. Mockingbird,
Starling, Fox Sparrow, Song Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, Junco, N.
Cardinal, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, Brown-headed Cowbird
Also - Single harbor seal hauled out on rock in harbor.
Also - Flyer of prohibited drone getting a talking to by EnCon officer in
the park. Anyone know the penalty for this?
