Today while walking the short path where bird banding takes place at the Milford Point Coastal Center I flushed a sparrow at the edge of the woods figuring perhaps it was a White Throated Sparrow. When it landed in a tree near me it turned out to be a Seaside Sparrow. In over 58 years of birding I have only seen them in salt marshes so quite a surprise!
