A lengthy walk today at Trout Brook Preserve in Easton (starting at Bradley
Road entrance and walking to the orchard and back) turned up 91 species,
including 20 species of warblers (finally!). Highlights included 3
WILSON'S WARBLERS, 2 BAY-BREASTED WARBLERS, 6 BLACKBURNIAN WARBLERS, 9
CANADA WARBLERS, 1 CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, and 9 MAGNOLIA WARBLERS. Also
of interest were singing BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO at Bradley Road, WHITE-EYED
VIREO in the orchard, and lots of SWAINSON'S THRUSHES seen and heard
throughout the preserve.
