A late afternoon visit to Rosa Hartman's Greenwich side yielded good
migrants such as Canada, Black-throated Green, and a singing Cape May
Warbler as well as many Swainson's Thrushes and an Eastern-Wood Pewee,
among others. However, the highlight was a killer look at a Black-billed
Cuckoo - a rare bird for Greenwich and a first record for the park! -atop
the open, scrubby woods atop Laddin's Rock (near the purple "love is love"
graffiti). It called a couple of times and suffered my extensive
observations for almost ten minutes.
