Mississippi Kite (Ictinia mississippiensis) (1)
- Reported May 17, 2017 07:20 by Leslie Bulion
- Durham Meadows--Frederick White Farm, Middlesex, Connecticut
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=41.4771151,-72.6857615&ll=41.4771151,-72.6857615
- Checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S36946047
- Media: 3 Photos
- Comments: "I lightened the shadows in photo to show the banding in the tail. Kite flew over tree line as I passed then soared overhead. Pearly gray coloring seemed like the Mississipi kite, but it's so rare here I didn't think it could be correct. Size close to a Cooper's hawk, definitely smaller than a red-tailed."
