5/23/17 - Madison, Hammonasset S.P. - 1:15 p.m. a Blackburnian Warbler in the sassafras trees near the trail convergence on Willard Island. Then, in the area just behind the convergence, a male Scarlet Tanager, who posed at eye level for us for about 5 minutes. They don't come any better behaved. Also, apparent Salt Marsh Sparrow in the marsh to the west of the causeway. Other than that, it was pretty quiet, unless you are a big fan of Yellow Warblers.
