[CT Birds] Very high tides floods nesters

5/25. 11:45am. Report from Stratford Shoreline. The combination of New Moon, very high spring tides, rain, and strong NE winds - many CT coastal areas are experiencing some flooding. The Lordship Seawall is being over washed by waves, the Great Meadows salt marsh is totally flooded, no doubt washing out Willet nests;  Piping Plover, Oystercatcher, and Tern nests are at great risk of being washed out.

I have found nothing rare yet, but there was a pair of Gadwalls feeding in a rainpuddle on the Short Beach golf course.
Still looking for s shearwater offshore...
