[CT Birds] 5/28: Indian Council Caves section of Tunxis Trail

Notable among 47 species found along the Tunxis Trail today were a Sharp-shinned Hawk and a pair of Canada Warblers in good nesting habitat.  One Blackpoll was passing through as well.  Full eBird list is below.

SHARP-SHINNED HAWK  1     Quite unusual at this time of year, but very well observed:  small overall; relatively short tail (compared to Cooper's Hawk's tail); rapid, fluttery wing beats; tight circles in flight; tail corners sharp; curved leading edge to wing (as opposed to straight leading edge of Cooper's); wings relatively short (compared to Cooper's) and wing tips rounded, not pointed.
