6/7  Milford, connecticut Audubon Coastal Center,  10am-1PM, high tide
receding, 60F, cloudy/overcast.
At 10 am the female osprey was on the perch preening, til 11:30, male on
the nest.
Around 11:30, she began calling, the male flew off the nest and female went
onto the nest. Male flew off and returned with a fish.  He ate til 12:25pm,
then brought the rest of the fish to the female, and she took it to the
perch to eat, while male went onto the nest. No drama today.
Nice quiet family scene.
On the marsh, 36 Mute swans, 4 Great egrets, far out.
On the grounds- 6 Purple martins sitting on gourds, Purple martin cam is in
a nest with 2 eggs.
6 Common grackles, 3 Robins, 3 Starlings(2 adults, 1Juvenile), 2 Tree
swallows (house sparrows seem to have taken over the  swallow nest box
outside the windows facing the marsh), D.C. Cormorants far out, 2 Red
winged blackbirds, 1 female Cardinal, 2 Mourning doves, Family of House
finches (2 adults & 2 juveniles feeding).
