6/21  Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 10am-1PM, high tide
receding,80F, overcast / partly sunny
At 10am the  female osprey was on the nest and male on edge of nest.  A
third osprey was in the area again but chased off.  No fish was brought in,
but the female continues to care for the 2 chicks.  The third egg hatched
on June 14, but chick did not survive.
On the marsh:  3 Great Egrets, 2 Snowy Egrets, 4 Yellow crowned night
herons flew in, 33 Mute swans, .
On grounds:  2 Mourning doves, cardinal, 1 Mockingbird, 3 Robins, Purple
martins in the gourd condos (counted by Mike Aurelia & Melena there were
125 eggs), 2 house finches (m&F), 2 Red winged blackbirds, starlings,
Common grackles, House sparrows, 5 Tree swallows collecting bugs on the
marsh edge, 2 Song sparrows.
A heft sized woodchuck was mozing around.
