A quick stop by Cockenoe Island in Westport via boat yesterday yielded
two ROSEATE TERNS continuing in the flock. While watching the terns,
an adult Herring Gull flew into the colony, plucked a young chick, and
casually ate it nearby.

A photo of the gull-tern incident. Warning - not pretty!
