This morning at the Stony Creek Nature Trail I had great views of a
Yellow-billed Cuckoo calling in an oak tree near the west end of the trail (near
the railroad tracks). Other highlights were Saltmarsh Sparrows, Marsh Wrens,
and a fly by Glossy Ibis. The numerous Osprey are feeding chicks in the nests
making for an enjoyable show. Not bad for a summer morning. Notable absent
were Clapper Rails. Ebird list below. For some reason, there were no
mosquitoes or biting flies around either!
