This morning Jory Teltser and I birded the majority of Pine Creek in Fairfield and turned up a few notable birds, including a molting male BLUE GROSBEAK on the landfill and a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER in the birches along the “ditch trail.”
The property was relatively birdy, with a small but noticeable morning flight as well. Other birds around included Least Flycatcher, Little Blue Heron, several Northern Waterthrush, Blue-winged Warbler, and Bobolink.

A nice morning with a distinct feel of autumn in the air.
