I did a loop around the Shennecossett area of Groton during lunch today and had the following:

Eastern Point:
~35 Brant, all appeared to be Atlantic, various age classes.
1 Purple Sandpiper on the western-most rocks near the building. Nice to see one close in for once.

Eastern Point Rd. Pond:
1 Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, late and immature. Roosting on central island

Sparkle Lake Conservation Area:
2 Pied-billed Grebes, my first here
2 Greater Yellowlegs
6 Ring-necked Ducks
2 American Wigeon

Good birding
