Took a short hike on either side of Roode Road on Nehantic Trail late this afternoon.  Twenty goldencrowned kinglets, very energetic and noisy, several downy woodpeckers, nuthatches and chickadees, two hermit thrushes seen and another heard vocalizing several times in succession.  Maybe a robin or bluejay but we're kind of sneaky this season.  Took a poor quality photo of one HT and it appears to have a taped maker upon its left tail feathers.
