Note 1 from Greg Hanisek: There are 4 previous records for White-faced
Ibis. All were in May and 3 of the 4 were from Hammo, most recent
2001. (Other was Barn Island). Great find.
Note 2: The storm brought a lot of birds in just south of us (NJ)
including single Swainson's, Hooded, and Prothonotary
Warblers, Y-b Cuckoo(s), Blue Grosbeak and Indigo Buntings, and both
Scarlet and Summer Tanagers! SOME others are probably UP HERE, if
only we find them.

4/28 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- WHITE-FACED IBIS, in with
about 30 GLOSSY IBIS after turn around toward Nature Center on right
in marsh grass. Only Ibis in the group with a reddish face patch
around red eye. No white visible around the face patch but had
reddish legs as well. LITTLE BLUE HERON in marsh patch before
Williard's Island.
