Julian Hough has posted a great photograph of the Stratford PURPLE
GALLINULE on www.surfbirds.com.
Extralimitally a Black-tailed Godwit was seen in Vermont both Sunday
and Monday.

4/30 - Stratford, Sikorsky Airport -- UPLAND SANDPIPER still present
5:50pm on grassy field along exit portion of airport loop road (thanks
Charlie).
4/30 - Stratford, Forest Rd. pond (with Linda) -- PURPLE GALLINULE out
in the open, in cattail stubble, foraging at 7:40-7:50pm, oblivious to
our presence. We watched it feeding on a tadpole or frog, then it went
back to picking at vegetation.
