*****  Sandy Point continues to change shape.  This year, even at
*****  low tide, some WADING is required.  BE PREPARED for water
*****  at least up to your knees!  Sandals and shorts for example.

8/18 - Sandy Pt, West Haven, 5:45-7:45pm -- On the receding tide, lots
of shorebirds and activity: 1 exquisite juv. BAIRD'S SANDPIPER landing
briefly, then flying west at 6:20pm; 1 juv. MARBLED GODWIT, 2 adult
WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS, 2 juv. WESTERN WILLETS
