8/24 - Westbrook, Salt Meadow Preserve -- 3 immature LITTLE BLUE
HERONS, one white (with just beginning dark tail feather) and 2
marbled blue and white (increasingly blue), at eastern end of marsh,
8:15 am.

8/24 - Rocky hill Meadows/Sod Farm -- 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER,
several LEAST SANDPIPERS

8/24 - Rocky Hill meadows (8 a.m.) -- juv. BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER
with 100+ Least Sandpipers. Birds were in area where sod is currently
being cut, as previously reported.

8/24 Rocky Hill meadows (2 p.m.) -- BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER. Bird was
on a dirt swath, along with least sandpipers and killdeer, where sod
was being actively cut approx. 1/2 mile past the portable toilet (away
from the river).

8/24 - Colebrook, Colebrook Reservoir -- lower road,at the river's
muddy estuary north of the reservoir, 2 WHITE RUMPED SANDPIPERS (my
first ever inland!), 1 WESTERN SANDPIPER in full breeding plumbage
(second this summer)

8/23 - Westport, Haskins Preserve -- 3 Red-breasted Nuthatches.
Westport, Grace Salmon Park -- 1 Western Sandpiper, 1 banded
Semipalmated Sandpiper; seemingly another NJ banded bird about the 4th
or 5th I've seen at Grace Salmon over the last two falls.
Wilton, Allen's Meadows -- 8 Bobolinks, 4 Common Nighthawks.
