12/12 - Warren, Melius Rd. (south end of this paved rd., 0.3 mile
north of Rt. 45/341 jct. in Warren town center, left/east off rt. 45,
at driveway into house #151, with big red-white-blue mailbox post --
12 Pine Grosbeaks, feeding at crabapples 1:30 p.m., 50 ft. into
driveway, & at top of nearby Tamarack tree, aka American Larch 1:45
p.m. with 2 fully adult males among the 12. No need to enter drive,
flock was visible from public Melius Rd. Also, after 1/2-hour of
viewing a Red-tailed Hawk went by possibly spooking the flock, they
went a bit to the south... here there are numerous crabapple & regular
apple trees along a few miles of Melius Rd.- from almost end to end.
Please respect private property & privacy. This location was
previously posted to the list for this flock.

12/12 - Hartland -- 11 PINE GROSBEAKS on Walnut Hill Rd. From the
elementary school mentioned in other sightings go north to the next
major intersection (center of town), and then left onto Walnut Hill
Rd. Look for the fruiting ornamentals. The birds were about a half
mile down Walnut Hill when seen.

12/12 - Waterford High School (roof) -- adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL

12/12 - Stratford, Long Beach -- a single RED KNOT flew in from the
Northeast at 11.07am and landed on the beach. It searched for food
along the water line and up in the wrack for about 3 minutes before
being flushed inadvertently by someone getting out of his car. The
bird flew out of sight towards the Southwest.

12/12 - Waterford, Niantic Bay -- 70+ BONAPARTE'S GULLS and at least
3 adult NORTHERN GANNETS working menhaden school. Possible
Black-legged Kittiwake.

where the road is currently closed by high water and ice -- Northern
Shrike teed up on bare tree.

12/12 - New Haven, East Shore Park -- four ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS
continue and have now been seen in the NH CBC count period. This is
the first record for this species in the 108-year history of the
count.
