12/28 - North Branford -- Immature GOLDEN EAGLE soaring above the
intersection of Routes 80 and 22 at 11:35 am.
From Kevin and Bruce Finnan:
12/28 - Goshen, Ashley Rd -- three Pine Grosbeaks.
Norfolk, Shepard Rd -- 28 Pine Grosbeaks, including at least eight
adult males, at 9:30 A.M. We came back at 11:30 and others reported
45 Pine Grosbeaks at that location! Other Goshen locations, Under
Mountain Rd. in Canaan, and Housatonic River Road in Falls Village
were quiet.

12/28 - Norfolk, Shepard Road -- a large flock of Pine Grosbeaks
feeding on the crab apples. The birds are low and close and in all
plumages -- great viewing.

12/28 - Norfolk, Shepard Road -- PINE GROSBEAKS; Today on a couple of
occasions there was a flock of more than 40, though most times the
number of birds seen was probably in the 15 to 20 range. Also when
the large flock was together it appeared that almost half were adult
males.

and a Peregrine Falcon over the Wyndham Land Trust duck marsh.
Coventry -- a flock of 15 - 20 Common Redpolls in my yard which have
been around for about 2 weeks and have taken over my nyjer feeders.

REDPOLLS feeding in treetops, 2 COMMON RAVENS, 2 BROWN CREEPERS, 1
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.

12/25 - Winchester, 121 Laurel Way (Rosgen Wildlife Sanctuary) -- 125

117 Laurel Way (Eisenlohr's Apple Orchard, which is private property,
so stay out on the public road) -- 2 PINE GROSBEAKS feeding in Apple
