A note from Mark Szantyr:

On Sunday, 4 Feb 2007, I saw the resident of #63 Ocean Ave. in Milford
/ West Haven shooting at birds at the Oyster River with a BB gun.
This is the small gray house to the left of the area where people feed
ducks and gulls.  I reported it to the DEP but birders should take
care as a BB in the eye might smart!  Also, if you notice this
activity when you are there, contact the DEP Enforcement line
immediately, 860-424-3333.

2/03 - Hartford, near landfill -- Several (3-4+) ICELAND GULLS flying
among a large flock of gulls.  Best seen from entrance road to
landfill and from near the levee at the police station.  
2/04 - Meriden, near Stop & Shop and Hubbard Park -- 2 COMMON RAVENS
soaring and interacting and various aerobatics in flight (perhaps some
sort of courtship behavior?).
