Extralimital Note: Sadly, the Ivory Gull was not seen to day in NY (so
please keep your eyes open)! In fact, keep your eyes open for
anything, as there are vagrants all over the place. One example,
pointed out by Julian Hough on the CTBirds list today, is a Scott's
Oriole in Pennsylvania - a first record for PA and not a bird that has
ever been seen in CT. In particular, WATCH THOSE FEEDERS!

2/26 - Branford, 2 Shady Lane -- WHITE-WINGED DOVE roosting/sleeping
in a tree in front yard the whole time I was there, 2:30 -3:00, with
MOURNING DOVES.
2/26 - Essex, CT River Museum -- dark ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK seen with
scope across river and downstream at it's usual Knott Is. Also 10
BALD EAGLES in the area.
2/26 - Shelton, Trap Falls Reservoir - 2 RED-NECKED GREBES seen at
hidden so. end of reservoir from Isinglass Rd. near Tory Lane
2/25/07 Stratford, Brewster St., Brewster Pond -- 1 NORTHERN SHOVELER
2/25/07 Stratford, duck pond on Rt. 110 at Riverside Dr. -- pair
