Note of Explanation: There has been some confusion about the new
CTBirds list vs. this list.

There are two lists. This one (CTDailyReport) is the daily Rare Birds
report. All we did was move from sending emails the old way to
sending them using a mailing list system. Everyone who was subscribed
to the daily report the old way was signed up to this mailing list
automatically.

The second list is CTBirds, and that is completely new. CTBirds is an
open discussion list. Anything a subscriber sends in goes to everyone
on the list. Any topic that is related to Connecticut birds, or
Connecticut birders, or is of interest to Connecticut birders, is
appropriate. Nobody edits or reviews the messages except after they
are distributed.

For those who are subscribed to CTBirds it is generally better to send
your sightings reports to CTBirds than to the usual email address.
That gets the sightings out immediately, exactly as you write it up.
As you are aware the dialy Rare Birds report (the report below) is
limited to rare and uncommon birds with little commentary. Your posts
to CTBirds do not have that limit.
