(Yet Another) Note about the Two Lists

It is almost a month since the creation of the CTBirds list for the
free exchange of information on Connecticut birds and birding. Some
250 people have joined CTBirds so far, almost half the number who
subscribe to this daily report.

One of our hopes when creating CTBirds was that people would post
their sightings there, where everyone could see them right away and
unedited. At the moment less than half the incoming reports are going
to CTBirds, most are coming to the return address of the daily
reports, CTBirdReport at msbx.net. If you have joined CTBirds I strongly
urge you to send your sightings to ctbirds at lists.ctbirding.org
instead.

Some of you may not wish to join CTBirds because of the number of
messages it generates. There are two alternatives available to you.
One is to choose the Digest option, which only sends a message ever
day or so. The other is to set the NoMail option, which stops all
incoming messages but still allows you to post.

Second Note: Fox Sparrows are everywhere right now, so much so that
they are not being included in the daily Rare Birds summary. Likewise
there are so many American Woodcock reports that we are skipping those
too.
