5/04 - Stratford, Forest Rd. -- PURPLE GALLINULE continues at 4:00PM;
it got through all the various activity going on around it in the yard
and next to the pond. It was actively foraging near the middle of the
pond when I left. It continues to be amazingly oblivious, but with
that said, I am still somewhat surprised the Gallinule made it through
all this. I hope to see many of you here tomorrow, and I'm sure I will
if our friend keeps up.

It was feeding at dusk in the channel at the end of the trail. 5
Marsh Wrens, 4 Boat-tailed Grackles.
