From Charlie Barnard:
5/31 - Stratford, railroad track trail -- 3 White-rumped Sandpipers
From Dave Rosgen:
5/28 - Barkhamsted, Rt. 318 to Rt. 219 Connector - 1 Common Raven
picking-up and carrying crosswise in his beak a medium-sized
road-killed Painted Turtle in an effort to get it away from 13 Turkey
Vultures that were circling low over it. Road-kill must be getting
hard to find! The Raven flew about 2,000 feet southeast to a steep
hillside along Rt. 219. When I got down there I could here fledgling
begging calls, so I assume that they were being fed turtle ala road.
