 From Greg Haniske:
11/13 - New Hartford, Bakerville swamp -- 8 a.m. WESTERN KINGBIRD,
imm. NORTHERN SHRIKE. Both were in the main swamp on the left side of
Maple Hollow Road heading north from Rt 202. Got very lucky. Weather
was miserable as I reached Torrington, and it was still dim and rainy
when I got the the swamp. But after cruising the immediate aea for
about 10 minutes, it stopped raining and got a bit brighter. The swamp
came alive with birds (robins, bluebirds, waxwings, goldfinches) and
the kingbird and shrike both appeared within 5 minutes

 From Paul Carrier:
11/13 - New Hartford, Bakerville swamp -- 10:45 (after Greg H was
here) Len Kendel, Roger Preston and I also saw the WESTERN KINGBIRD
only in field by house, by cow barn in the hedges. The NORTHERN SHRIKE
was hunting from the small Christmas trees planted by the road. When I
left there, I went down Dings rd to rt 202 and had another NORTHERN
SHRIKE SHRIKE, an immature bird, at edge of plowed field just before
rt 202 in trees bordering the stream.

From Len Kendall with Roger Preston:
11/13 - New Hartford, Bakerville swamp -- WESTERN KINGBIRD and the
