least), construction finished. Plus a couple of White-crowned
Sparrows.

others heard overhead repeatedly between 7 and 8 a.m.

spotted flying out with 1 Canada Goose.

10/31 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- 1 COMMON EIDER at tip
of Meigs Point resting on a big rock amid several and framed by rocks
on either side. Bird looking toward scope, and slant of dark long bill
and white supercilium growing broader was found. Bird similar to one
seen by J. Connolly 9/17.

morning Eastern Meadowlark (1) in grassy unmowed field at the end of
West Beach Rd. Also Snow Bunting (6) in field by the Nature Ctr.

10/28-30 - Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- The meadow in the
west end of Hammonasset has also yielded a Vesper Sparrow (among the
dozens of Savannahs and the odd White-crowned) on Sun., Mon., and
Tuesday of this week - a great little habitat!

10/27-28 - Voluntown, Pachaug Forest -- juvenile YELLOW-BELLIED
SAPSUCKER, 8 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, 6 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES and 5 BROWN
CREEPERS.
