12/24 - West Hartland, Mill Rd -- 4 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL, 1 male and
3 female, eating from spruce cones.  Near in same tree were 2 PURPLE
FINCH apparently also eating from cones.  In a birch tree just 100
feet away were 40 plus SISKIN.

12/24 - Wilton yard -- a mixed flock of finches stop briefly in my
yard including at least 3 Female type White-wintged Crossbills
(feeding on birch?)  Moved on quickly south.
