1/05 - Norfolk - c. 20 PINE GROSSBEAKS on crabapple trees at entrance
to Senior Housing, and then some on the tall pines just to the north,
9:00 am.

 From Fred Baumgarten (with many other observers):
1/05 - Norfolk, Shepard Rd -- 30 PINE GROSBEAKS, including 5 males, at
3:30 PM.

 From Bruce Stevenson:
1/05 - Norfolk, Shepard Rd -- 3 pm, 30 PINE GROSBEAKS feeding in crab
apple trees. At least 6 adult mails

 From Maryanne and Dean Rupp:
1/05 - Norfolk, Shepard Rd -- 11 PINE GROSBEAKS, including 4 males,
around 1 PM.

 From Fran D'Amico, Mark Shapiro and Anne Hamilton:
1/05 - Norfolk -- approximately 9 PINE GROSBEAKS on Shephard Road
(seen in the crab apples trees in front of the firehouse) from before
11:00 AM. Birds flew from view at about 11:40.
Goshen -- COMMON REDPOLL - a flock of about 25 seen on Hageman Shean
Road across from the dead end side street at about 1:30 PM.

1/05 - Norfolk, Shepard Road -- 21 Pine Grosbeaks

1/05 - Mansfield -- Approximately 120 snow bunting (no longspurs) in a
cornfield accessible from East Road, south of campus.

next to Willard Island parking lot.

1/04 - Hartford, State House Square Building -- PEREGRINE FALCON.
1/05 - Hammonasset S.P. -- 2 LAPLAND LONGSPUR, 4 RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCH, 1 MALE RED CROSSBILL.

1/05 - Litchfield, White Memorial Conservation Center, Mattatuck trail
west of Chickadee Bridge -- 13 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS in treetops and
feeding on bird food  spread along the trail

1/04 - East Haven, Proto Drive -- immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW.
(There was major digging being done in the road smack in front of the
feeder area, however, birds continued to come to feeders.  No Redpolls
seen anywhere.)
East Shore Park -- 1 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, 2 RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCHES.
Lighthouse Point Park -- RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH.
