Dennis Varza is doing a study on the birding habits of Connecticut
Birders and would really appreciate your help. The more people that
respond the more accurate the result. It doesn't matter wether you
cover 1 town or 100 towns.
1) Make a list of the towns you cover
2) Grade them by how frequently you go birding in each town:
    3 frequently
    2 regularly
    1 occasionally

5/01 - Voluntown, Pachaug State Forest -- YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER. The
directions are: Go into the main entrance of Pachaug on Rt 49, take
the second right just before the bridge that goes over Mt Misery
Brook, go through the campground, the road enters the forest and turns
to dirt.  At a little less than 1/2 mile down the dirt road there is a
gated forest road on the right.  Right after the gate there is a small
pool/fire hole on the left and a swampy area on the right.  This is
the area.

5/01 - Old Greenwich, Greenwich Point -- HARLEQUIN DUCK at its usual
spot, SNOW GOOSE in its usual spot in cove.

juvenile RED CROSSBILL, AMERICAN PIPIT, WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, BROWN
THRASHER, plus Blue-winged Teal and other expected species.

5/01 - East Lyme, Nehantic State Forest, powerlines on dirt road 1.4
miles in to the north off  Grassy Hill Road -- 1 WHIP-POOR-WILL heard
at 5:15 am.  It's a pretty rough ride if you have a small car.
