02/12/09 - Windsor, Windsor landfill -- Had the SLATEY-BACKED GULL
this morning at 1050, then lost it as gulls flew.  Relocated at 1210,
also 1 GLAUCOUS GULL.  There wasn't much activity except all the gulls
were flying hither and thither until the first garbage truck came at
about 1030.  That brought them down!

02/12/09 - Westport, Sherwood Island State Park -- We flushed 2
American Woodcock while making our way near the viewing platform
overlooking the Mill Pond.

feeding very quietly and discreetly in eastern-most pines at West
Beach), PURPLE SANDPIPER (12+ Meigs Point rocks off jetty).
