From Carl Ekroth:
02/12/09 - Windsor, Windsor landfill -- Had the SLATEY-BACKED GULL
this morning at 1050, then lost it as gulls flew. Relocated at 1210,
also 1 GLAUCOUS GULL. There wasn't much activity except all the gulls
were flying hither and thither until the first garbage truck came at
about 1030. That brought them down!
From Tina Green with AJ Hand:
02/12/09 - Westport, Sherwood Island State Park -- We flushed 2
American Woodcock while making our way near the viewing platform
overlooking the Mill Pond.
From Jerry Connolly:
02/11/09 - Madison, Hammonasset SP -- WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS (2 males
feeding very quietly and discreetly in eastern-most pines at West
Beach), PURPLE SANDPIPER (12+ Meigs Point rocks off jetty).
From Dave Rosgen, w/ John Eykelhoff, William Dooley, et. al. (all, or
in part):
02/12/09 -- Litchfield, White Hall Rd. (White Memorial's Museum Area)
-- 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch, 2 Common Redpolls.
