Note: The Graylag Goose that Greg Hanisek reported yesterday has
generated a bit of interest. To help put this bird into perspective,
Jay Kaplan posted a few words on CTBirds that everyone interested
should take pay attention to, which I take the liberty of excerpting
here.
"What Greg said was that this bird exhibited some characteristics of a
"wild-type" bird. Currently, there are no accepted records for greylag
goose in Connecticut. Those interested in changing this situation
should develop reports (with photos, if possible) on this bird and
forward them to Greg and myself."
