 From Greg Hanisek:
02/10/10 - Watertown, Bunker Hill Road -- NORTHERN SHRIKE. Spot is
just under 2 miles west of the intersection with Rt 63 (Straits
Turnpike). The stalled development with just 2 houses, both
unoccupied, is on the right as you head west. As you look across the
fields on the left you see Sand Bank Road, site of last year's
cooperative adult Northern Shrike. I didn't get a great look at this
one because it dived into fencerow tangles across from the
development, probably after a small bird, but it looked like an
immature. It could easily move down closer to the good habitat along
Sand Bank, which is accessile from roads both east and west of this
spot.

 From John Oshlick:
02/10/10 - West Haven, boat ramp near Sandy Point --1 first year
Glaucous Gull.
West Haven/Milford, Oyster River -- 1 juv Iceland Gull.

 From Brian Webster:
02/10/10 - Stratford, Peck's Mill Pond -- (noon-ish), 1 female
Northern Pintail.
Stratford, Roosevelt Forest -- 1 Brown Creeper, 1 Fox Sparrow, 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch.

 From Frank Mantlik:
02/09/10 - Stamford, Weed Ave, Holly Pond -- an apparent CACKLING
GOOSE with a large flock of Canadas at 5pm. It's body size was about
1/2 that of the Canadas, and it had a very small bill.
