 From Frank Gallo:
05/24/12 - Milford, Milford Point -- 12:20 PM; Red-necked Phalarope on
the sand bar, best viewed (at that moment) from the end of Francis St.

 From Steve Spector:
05/24/12 -- Milford, Milford Point (Francis St/Piping Plover spit) --
Red-necked Phalarope, breeding plumage female, first found at noon.
Foraging in shallow water pools at water's edge in company of hundreds
of Semipalmated Sandpipers.  Seen and photographed by Carl Ekroth,
Frank Gallo, Frank Mantlik, also Tina Green, Scott Kruitbosch, and
others.

 From Tina Green:
05/24/12 - Milford, Milford Point -- 2:46 PM; Red-necked Phalarope on
the sand bar, best viewed (at that moment) from somewhere in the
direction of Stratford (west) from the center. With all the other
shorebirds, the phalarope was spooked by a Peregrine Falcon. As of
3:39 PM the combined efforts of various birders had not relocted it.

 From Jay Kaplan:
05/24/12 - Canton, Roaring Brook Nature Center -- Black-billed Cuckoo
calling adjacent to north parking lot at 6:30 AM.

 From David Lawton:
05/24/12 - Avon, Fisher Meadow Trail -- BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO (from
parking lot, a couple hundred meters along the river where there are
two benches on the right before the trail veers left with the river...
calling in that gully behind the benches). Also a male ORCHARD ORIOLE
singing atop a tree along the river between the BBC and the parking
lot.

 From Ernie Harris:
05/24/12 - Bolton Backyard -- 7-8 AM; FOY-BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO.
11:30 AM -- COMMON RAVEN.

 From Don Morgan:
05/24/12 - Windham, Boston Hollow -- Black-billed Cuckoo singing a
song so odd I almost didn't recognize it.

 From Paul Cianfaglione:
05/24/12 - South Windsor, Station 43 -- 1 LEAST BITTERN.

 From Chris Bosak:
05/24/12 -  Norwalk -- I've seen a Peregrine Falcon two days in a row
at I-95 bridge. They nested there last year, but not this year. Now
DOT is going to paint bridge, so should be interesting to see if
peregrines continue to visit bridge.

 From Hank Golet:
05/24/12 - Old Lyme, Great Island gravel bar -- 1 RED KNOT.

 From Mark Scott:
05/24/12 - Hamden/New Haven, East Rock Park -- WILSON'S WARBLER.

 From Kevin Finnan:
05/24/12 - Loop in Litchfield and Goshen including Beach St.,
Crossman Rd, Newcomb Rd, Town Hill Rd and West St -- 52 BOBOLINKS, one
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, one CERULEAN WARBLER.
