Scoters.
Milford, Silver Sands SP -- 9;00-10:30; w/ Penny Solum, AJ & Sue Hand,
2 Common Ravens.
Stratford, Stratford Marina (private property) -- 14:00-14:15
(Post-deluge); 26 Yellow-crowned Night-Herons.
Short Beach Park (walked in as entrance road was flooded) -- 14:45 to
15:10; 1 Pectoral Sandpipers.

09/28/12 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- 6:20 PM; Photographed
the CLAY-COLORED SPARROW.  (This was another case of pure serendipity.
A young buck was creeping along the water's edge and flushed the bird
before it.)

09/28/12 - Westport, Burying Hill Beach -- 30 Scoter Species flying
west, and a possible Parasitic Jaeger.
Smith Richardson Tree Farm -- Brown Thrasher.
Sherwood Island SP -- 3 Wilson's Snipe.  Post rain, Peregrine Falcon.

Pipits (potentially up to 16???).

09/28/12 - Southbury, Bent of the River -- Quite a few birds from my
office balcony this morning, including Purple Finches, Pine Siskin,
Bay-breasted Warbler.

09/27/12 - Greenwich, Quaker Ridge -- Golden Eagle (first of the year)
and 8 or so Common Nighthawks. In the fields in the morning a nice mix
only yielded a Brown Thrasher and 2 Lincoln's Sparrows as species of
note.

09/27/12 - Harwinton, yard -- 3 Purple Finch and 2 PINE SISKIN.
