09/30/12 - Litchfield -- 3:45 PM; COMMON GALLINULE still seen at edge
of reeds north end of small pond on Constiution Rd across from
cemetery.

 From Ray Belding w/ Dennis Hannon:
09/30/12 - Litchfield, Little Pond -- Common Gallinule continues. Also
Wilson's Snipe.

09/30/12 - Manchester -- 12:15; Connecticut Warbler in usual place.

09/30/12 - Milford, Silver Sands SP -- 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM; 2
Clay-colored Sparrows sitting side-by-side in branches of same dead
bush/tree across path at west end of sparrow lanes off of the main
parking lot.

09/30/12 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- Clay-colored Sparrow.
Also Lincoln's Sparrow, Saltmarsh Sparrow, White Crowned Sparrows
(imm.), and Bobolink were observed.

09/30/12 - Fairfield, Pine Creek -- Connecticut Warbler in the brush
around the sewage pond area on the landfill.  Also 1 Red-breasted
Nuthatch, 1 Winter Wren.

09/30/12 - South Windsor, Station 43 -- Outstanding looks at a
Peregrine Falcon circling the marsh, and another Peregrine in a tree
at the far side.  Also, brief but good look at a Brown Thrasher.

09/30/12 - Suffield, Suffield Wildlife Management Area -- 2 Blue
Winged Teal, Wilson"s Warbler and a Vesper Sparrow.

09/30/12 - Groton, Bluff Point -- COMMON NIGHTHAWK, 2 RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCHES, PURPLE FINCH; only around 50 warblers of 5 species.

09/30/12 - Stratford yard -- 2 PINE SISKIN at feeders, 2 RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCH.
Stratford Point -- 1 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH.
Stratford, Boothe Memorial Park -- 2 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH.

09/30/12 - 105 Purple Finch (!).  Also, one 1 DICKCISSEL, 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 2 Bobolink, 2 very high soaring COMMON
RAVEN.  Many Red-breasted Nuthatch in the Park.

09/30/12 - Wethersfield, yard -- Red-breasted Nuthatch.

09/30/12 - Norwalk yard -- Red-breasted Nuthatch at feeder.

09/29/12 - Goshen -- Two Pine Siskins, two Red-breasted Nuthatches, 12
Purple  Finches (down from 25 a week ago) and Brown Creeper were
highlights in the yard.  Among a large, fall-flavored, mixed flock at
Camp Coch were three  Bay-breasted Warblers, Red-breasted Nuthatches,
White-crowned Sparrow.

09/29/12 - Naugatuck, Naugatuck State Forest, fields at the end of
Hunters Mtn Rd -- late afternoon; single flyover PINE SISKIN.
