 From Bill Asteriades:
09/01/13 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- 1 juv. UPLAND SANDPIPER
and 2 BOBOLINKS.  The Upland Sandpiper was at the back end of the
grass field, east of Great Meadow Road.  After being dive-bombed for
several minutes by swallows, the bird flew west deeper into the
meadows.  Also, had a juvenile Peregrine Falcon.

 From Tina Green with Sara Zagorski:
09/01/13 - Stratford, Greenway / Animal Shelter -- 7 Whimbrel, heard
flight calls first, looked and saw 7 Whimbrels fly directly over our
heads. Yes!!!

09/01/13 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 6:15 PM; 3 Whimbrel roosting
then flushed by Peregrine Falcon.

 From Steve Mayo:
09/01/13 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park -- Possible but
"remarkably early" Vesper Sparrow at a new, 15-foot diameter dirt
pile, covered with fox tail and smart weed, on the west side of the
parking area.

09/10/13 - Watertown, Linkfield Road, Gustafson's Orchard -- 4 COMMON
NIGHTHAWK (5:00 PM).
