01/19/15 - Stonington, along Wheeler Road -- 1 SANDHILL CRANE in the
southernmost of 3 cornfields along the road. Seen at 2:30 pm. Has
been reported from here on and off for several days. Best reached
from Rt. 184. Driving east, Wheeler Road is on right. Corn fields
about one half mile down road.

01/19/15 - Enfield, St Patrick's Cemetery at the end of Pleasant St --
adult male Barrow's Goldeneye continues (with group of Common
Goldeneye) feeding on the river.
East Hartford, Warehouse on Murphy Road -- First cycle Glaucous Gull
spotted sitting with crows on a building on Murphy road, but viewed
from the back of the McDonalds parking lot.
Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park -- Boneparte's Gull continues
but east of original location posted earlier. Walk out on Moraine
Trail for a view.

Guilford/Madison line, east River marsh -- Rough-legged Hawk hovering
across the River near condos.

Gull. Later, previous 1st cycle and returning adult "FC" spotted by
Frank Gallo and Jacob Musser . Fifth winter for "FC" at circle beach.
Guilford, East River marsh -- hen Northern Shoveller.

01/19/15 - Barkhamsted yard -- flock of 30-40 Common Redpolls dropped
in to the backyard trees for about 5 minutes. They did not visit the
feeders but sure it's just a matter of time (if they return). Pine
Siskins continue though (~40) (among the ~75 goldfinch).

Vultures (and one Turkey vulture) feeding.

Front Street. Gull on pier on the Front Street side of river just
south of Lombard St about 4 PM.
Guilford, Guilford Marsh, seen from boat launch at end of Neck Road --
Rough-legged Hawk continues.

alone on water at end of moraine trail. 2+ Snow Bunting in a flock of
about 25 birds (mostly horned larks) at end of moraine trail.
