Hawk Watching - after the storm

Rains from this East Coast storm should end soon, bringing moderate
northerly winds.  At Quaker Ridge, wind speeds (currently forecasted in the
10 mph range) may not be too strong as to knock hawks off the ridge line.
There should be a good count on Thursday.  At Lighthouse Park, winds might
just be strong enough to generate a good flight (several hundred hawks,
10-13 species). If you can't call in sick on Thursday, there may be a
similar weather opportunity in a week.
