Hi all,
There are many reports today of deceased shearwaters from the south shore
of Long Island and at least one individual from the south-facing shore of
Westport, MA. Most have been Sooties. Live birds have also been seen. Given
that these birds are clearly not doing well, they might be more likely to
wander into Long Island Sound than usual in their moribund state. Keep an
eye out for both live and dead individuals along the coast.
