Duties: The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Military Academy at West Point announces a new Teaching and Research Fellowship for recent Ph.D. graduates. You will be appointed as a Teaching and Research Fellow with the title of Assistant Professor, and will become part of a unique program designed to provide young scholars with the opportunity to acquire the skills and experience necessary for success in teaching and research. You will teach undergraduate courses in sociological theory, social inequality/stratification, or social network analysis. In addition to part-time teaching, you will conduct network science research relevant to social network analysis and will contribute to West Point's new established Network Science Center. A principal objective of the Center is to provide fellows with the opportunity to work in and learn about one of the most fascinating organizations in the U.S. Army.

About the Position: The United States Military Academy was established in 1802 and continues to be the nation's premier leader development institution. It is the only college specifically charged with preparing young men and women for service as officers in the United States Army. As such, it has a singular educational philosophy of graduating enlightened military leaders of strong moral courage whose minds are creative, critical, and resourceful.
